India’s private market continued to see meaningful capital movement this week, with ₹2,601 crore raised across 27 funding deals between August 28 and September 3, 2026. While the overall deal activity remained spread across sectors, a handful of transactions stood out for the sheer size of capital involved.

The week’s funding landscape was dominated by a few large-ticket transactions. Slice led the pack with ₹943.70 crore, followed by Ultrahuman with ₹660.59 crore. Together, these two deals contributed more than ₹1,600 crore, accounting for over 60% of the total capital raised during the period.

The remaining spots in the top five were taken by Yuma, BNF and VLCC, with deal sizes ranging from ₹110 crore to ₹332.82 crore. Interestingly, the transactions span a diverse mix of sectors, from fintech and financial services to health and wellness, electric mobility, and beauty.

Beyond the headline numbers, the investor mix also offers an interesting glimpse into where institutional and strategic capital is being deployed. The deals brought together established venture capital firms, private equity investors, strategic players and financial institutions, highlighting continued appetite for businesses across different stages and sectors.

With 27 deals recorded in just one week, the numbers point to a market where capital continues to flow selectively, with larger cheques increasingly concentrated around businesses that have attracted strong institutional backing.

So, which companies attracted the biggest cheques, who backed them, and how much capital changed hands? Let’s take a closer look at the five biggest funding deals recorded between August 28 and September 3, 2026.
