India’s private market delivered another strong week of fundraising, with 24 deals announced between August 21 and August 27, 2026, adding up to ₹3,638 Cr in capital raised. But the headline number only tells part of the story.
A closer look at the week’s largest transactions shows a striking concentration of capital. The five biggest deals contributed ₹2,967.90 Cr, more than four-fifths of the week’s total funding. From orthopaedic products and coffee chains to electric mobility, healthcare and investment management, the deals highlight the wide range of businesses continuing to attract institutional capital.
At the centre of the week’s activity was Tynor Orthotics, whose ₹1,914.20 Cr transaction was by far the largest deal recorded during the period.
Where Did the Money Go?
Where India’s funding went this week
The five largest funding deals announced between August 21 and August 27, 2026.

One Deal Towers Over the Rest
The defining transaction of the week was Tynor Orthotics Private Limited’s ₹1,914.20 Cr funding deal with Kedaara Capital.
Announced on August 25, the transaction accounted for approximately 53% of the entire ₹3,638 Cr raised across the 24 deals. It was also larger than the combined value of the other four deals featured in the top five.
The Punjab-based business operates under the Tynor brand, making the transaction one of the most significant funding events in the week’s private-market activity.
Third Wave Coffee Takes the Second Spot
The second-largest transaction came from Heisetasse Beverages Private Limited, the company behind Third Wave Coffee.
The Bengaluru-based coffee company raised ₹408 Cr in a Series D round, backed by WestBridge Capital Partners and Creagis.
While the transaction was substantially smaller than Tynor’s, it still represented a meaningful portion of the week’s funding and placed the consumer brand firmly among the largest capital raises of the period.
Matter Brings EVs Into the Top Five
The electric mobility sector also found a place among the week’s biggest deals.
Matter Motor Works Private Limited raised ₹239.28 Cr in Series C funding, with participation from Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC), Helena Special Investments Fund, Capital 2B, Japan Airlines Ventures and Translink Capital.
The Ahmedabad-based company became the third-largest deal of the week, adding another significant transaction to India’s growing EV funding landscape.
Healthcare Adds Another ₹215 Cr
Healthcare was represented by Kolors Healthcare India Private Limited, which raised ₹215 Cr from Piramal Alternatives.
The Hyderabad-based company’s transaction ranked fourth among the week’s largest deals. Its inclusion alongside companies from mobility, consumer and financial services illustrates the diverse sectors represented in India’s funding activity.
Nexedge Capital Completes the List
The fifth-largest deal came from Nexedge Capital Management Private Limited, which raised ₹191.42 Cr from Mirrae Asset Venture Investments (India) and Elev8 Venture Partners.
The New Delhi-based company’s funding brings the total value of the top five transactions to ₹2,967.90 Cr.
The Bigger Story Behind ₹3,638 Cr
The most interesting takeaway from this week’s numbers is not simply the total amount raised, but how that capital was distributed.
Of the ₹3,638 Cr raised through 24 deals, the top five accounted for ₹2,967.90 Cr. That means approximately 82% of all capital raised during the week was concentrated in just five transactions.
Tynor Orthotics was the biggest contributor, followed by Third Wave Coffee, Matter, Kolors Healthcare and Nexedge Capital.
This creates a significant gap between the largest transactions and the rest of the market. It also shows why tracking individual deals can provide a more useful perspective than looking at weekly funding totals alone.
Five Deals, Five Different Stories
What makes this week’s top five particularly interesting is the diversity of businesses involved.
Tynor Orthotics represents the orthopaedic products space. Third Wave Coffee brings consumer and food & beverage into the picture, while Matter represents electric mobility. Kolors Healthcare adds healthcare, and Nexedge Capital brings investment management into the mix.
Together, these deals provide a snapshot of the different segments of India’s private economy where sizeable capital is being deployed.
A Week to Watch
The August 21–27 funding numbers underline an important trend in India’s private markets: large transactions continue to have an outsized impact on overall funding activity.
With 24 deals announced and ₹3,638 Cr raised, the week recorded substantial capital movement. Yet nearly all of the headline funding came from just five transactions, led overwhelmingly by Tynor Orthotics.
As more company filings become available, these press-announced transactions can also be tracked against official corporate records to build a clearer picture of the week’s capital flows.
